For anyone who has had the chance to travel from Melbourne to New York City, the excitement of the trip tends to start to flag somewhere in mid-air over the Pacific Ocean. It then takes another dive while waiting in the queue for Homeland Security in Los Angeles and one further dip when one is still 2 hours out from landing at JFK... The reason for this image being 'the image of the day' is due to the emotion one feels when they FINALLY ARRIVE IN THE NEW YORK CITY...

It is when I am in buildings like the Boston Public Library that I am most happy. I cannot believe how many, many wonderful ideas and experiences have sprung just by walking through those doors of a place that is built to celebrate the world of KNOWLEDGE...

I had visited the birth place and home of John F Kennedy in Brookline and while I was making my way back to the hotel, I was standing on the corner of Babcock and Brighton Ave. I remember it well because I was so very cold but it was incredibly sunny... I was thinking about the Kennedy's and of the profound effect they had had on my life (which is rather odd because I am not American)... I thought about different parts of the world I had seen because of my interest in John and Jackie... the monument at Runnymede in England with my friend Jax, The JFK Library, 1040 5th Ave NYC, The National Orchestra at the Kennedy Centre in DC... and also I thought of the how it had been 50 years since his assassination in Dallas - and when I looked up into the sky - there appeared this cloud - likened to that of a broken heart - which I think many, many people felt on 22.Nov.'63...
